Important

This article describes how to create and manage new CMP templates. For information on how to configure an existing template to suit your business needs, see Customizing the Banner Template, Customizing the Preference Center Template, and Customizing the Cookie List Template.

You can create templates of banner, preference center, and cookie list settings to easily implement tracking technology consent and preference selection on your sites.

When a production script is published, the template and geolocation rule will change to Active. If any changes are made to the template or geolocation rule, they will revert to Draft. Scripts will display as Draft if unpublished and Published after publishing.

Tip

If you have configured your Company Profile in Athena, the templates will be populated with recommended settings. For more information, see Athena Company Profile.
