Customizing the Mobile App Consent Banner Template

You can customize the layout, styling, content, and behavior of your banner template. This allows you to create a look and feel that matches your organization's branding style and behavior preferences.

Note

Some menus, sections, and options shown in this article may only be available as a preview feature. To enable access to this feature, please contact OneTrust Support to submit the request.

To enable mobile templates

This action only needs to be performed for new templates which haven't yet been configured for mobile apps. The configuration options will be enabled by default.

  1. On the Cookie Consent menu, select Templates. The Templates screen appears.

  2. Select a template. The Template Details screen appears.

    Note

    For more information on creating templates, see Creating Mobile Templates.

  3. Enable the Mobile App Template setting in the right-hand pane. A confirmation modal will appear to permit configuration of Mobile App Templates.

    Note

    This confirmation will only appear once for new templates which haven't yet been configured for mobile apps. The configuration options will be enabled by default.

To customize a mobile banner template (Mobile App)

  1. On the Cookie Consent menu, select Templates. The Templates screen appears.

  2. Click on the name of the template you want to customize. The Template Details screen appears.

  3. Navigate to the Banner tab, then select Mobile App from the platform selector.

  4. Click the Plus icon next to Design to open the template design options.

  5. Use the Override Web Browser Text setting to define new text for the mobile app experience. Leave disabled to inherit the existing language from your cookie's Preference Center.

  6. Click the Edit icon to customize sections of the template design as necessary. Your customizations should appear in the preview in real time.

  7. When finished, click the Save Template button.

Show Logo

Enable to show your organization's logo. You will need to enable this to display the fields below.

Logo

The name of the logo's uploaded file.

Layout Height

Select the layout height: Full, Half, Two-thirds and One-third.

Note

Changing banner height only affects apps that are in portrait mode. Apps that are in landscape mode are always rendered full screen.

Drag each button with your mouse or use your keyboard to configure the button order to display on your Banner.

To customize a mobile banner template (Web Browser)

  1. On the Cookie Consent menu, select Templates. The Templates screen appears.

  2. Click on the name of the template you want to customize. The Template Details screen appears.

  3. Navigate to the Banner tab, then select Web Browser from the platform selector.

  4. Click the Consent section to open the template configuration options.

  5. Click the Edit icon to customize sections of the template design as necessary. Your customizations should appear in the preview in real time.

Enter the title text that will appear on your Banner.

Notice Description

Enter the notice description for your Banner that best matches your consent model.

Cookie Policy Link

Enable this setting to show your Cookie Policy link on the Banner.

Cookie Policy Link

Enter the Cookie Policy link text that will appear on the Banner.

Cookie Policy URL

Enter the link to your Cookie Policy.

Screen Reader Value (aria-label)

Enter the text that will be read out when a screenreader comes across your Cookie Policy Link.

Imprint Link

Enable this setting to show the Imprint Link on your Banner.

Imprint Link

Enter the text that will appear on your Imprint Link.

Imprint Link URL

Enter the URL for your Imprint Link.

Enter the text that will be read out when a screenreader comes across your Imprint Link.

Partners Link

Enter the name for the vendor list link if you wish to directly link to it from your Banner.

Button Set

Show Allow All Button

Enable this setting to show the Allow All Cookies button on your Banner.

Allow All Cookies Button

Enter the text that will appear on your Allow All Cookies button.

Show Cookie Settings Button

Enable this setting to show the Cookie Settings button on your Banner.

When using the button in a web page to access the Cookies Preference Center

Use the radio button to choose whether the button has the same text as in the Banner or if other text will be used when displayed on a webpage.

Cookie Setting Button Style

Choose whether the Cookie Settings button is a link or a button.

Show Reject All Button

Enable this setting to show the Reject All button on the Banner.

Show Close Button

Use the radio button to choose if the Close button on your Banner will show as an x or as a Continue without accepting link.

Screen Reader Value (aria-label)

Enter the text that will be read out when a screenreader comes across the Close button on the Banner.
