[en] You can configure your email server settings to send email notifications from OneTrust using the Send on Behalf of my Domain methodology. This methodology is recommended for companies that want OneTrust's email server to handle delivery of email but delegate the ability of OneTrust to send emails on behalf of their company's domain.

[en] This customization requires an Advanced or Enterprise license for your organization's OneTrust account.
[en] The Send on Behalf of my Domain methodology requires setup of SPF and CNAME in DNS records to ensure reliable delivery of emails sent.
[en] To set up Send on Behalf of my Domain, you will need to adjust the account settings for your DNS provider.
[en] First, determine who your hosting provider is (e.g. GoDaddy, CloudFlare, Microsoft Azure, etc.) and if you have access. If you do not have access to the account, you will need to involve the IT administrator for your organization's hosting provider in this configuration.

[en] To configure Send on Behalf of my Domain
[en] Contact OneTrust at support@onetrust.com or contact your primary support resource requesting "Send on Behalf of my Domain" be set up. Provide the desired domain and your account information.
[en] After the request is approved, you will receive an email with instructions to create a CNAME record in your DNS for DKIM signing (or if your DNS doesn't support, you can set up an SPF and MX record details). For more details of the process, see domain authentication.

[en] Update your organization's DNS records by creating a TXT
record with the value v=spf1 include:sendgrid.net ~all
. Then follow the instructions in the email.
Nota
[en] Domain providers use different names for the page where you can update the DNS record (e.g. cPanel, Zone Editor, Zone File Settings, Manage Domains, Domain Manager, DNS Manager, etc.)
[en] Respond to the support case letting OneTrust know that the step has been completed. Once verified, you will be provided a password to use for Email setup.
