  • A user has explicitly opted out of any cookie categories in the Banner or Preference Center

Notification

Advanced Configuration

In this section you can bundle cookie categories and IAB Purposes (when applicable) to associate related categories to each other. For example, for a CCPA, you can bundle any categories that use personal data.

A Bundle Group will be given a unique category ID within the OneTrust datalayer variable, OnetrustActiveGroups. For reference, the ID could display as SPD_BG. When a user opts into the bundle group, the ID for the bundle group and IDs for categories within the bundle group will populate in OnetrustActiveGroups. When a user opts out, the bundle group ID as and IDs for the categories grouped within it will not populate in the variable.

Bundle group IDs may change when a new script version is released. OneTrust does not recommend using bundle group IDs when configuring cookie blocking. OneTrust recommend using a cookie category ID for one of the categories bundled within a group when configuring blocking for bundle groups, similar to how you would configure blocking if you were not using a bundle group. If you do choose to configure blocking using a bundle group ID, you must check if the bundle group ID has changed with a new release and update your implementation accordingly.

Field

Description

Group Categories

Note

Custom Bundle Groups generate new IDs when new template versions are created. We recommend using category IDs for all triggering to tags/scripts/SDKs. If you do choose to trigger off of bundle group IDs, you will need to update your implementation when a new template version is generated.

To create a Bundle Group
  1. Click the Group Categories button to create a new group.

  2. Enter a group name and a description (if desired).

  3. In the Select Subgroups field, select the cookie categories you would like to be grouped in the bundle group header.

  4. Click the Create button.

Once you have created the group, you will be able to update the settings for the group. To access the settings, click the Context Menu icon context_menu_icon_v2.png on the side of the group and select Settings. You can also use existing categories as group header and add existing or new categories as a subgroup by clicking on the three dots at the end of a category that should be added as a subgroup and selecting the category in the parent group drop down

Settings

In the group settings, you can update the group name, group description, view the subgroups (categories) within the bundle group, and configure the following settings:

Show Subgroups - Choose to show or not show the categories in the bundle group.

Show Subgroup Descriptions - If you choose to show the subgroups, you can show or not show the descriptions.

Subgroup Opt-out - This will allow your users to choose which categories within the bundle group to opt in or opt out off. If this setting is off, users will only be able to opt in our opt out at the bundle group level.

You can ungroup categories by clicking the Context Menu icon on the side of the group and selecting Ungroup.

To disable a category
  1. Click the Context Menu icon context_menu_icon_v2.png next to a category name. The Context menu appears.

language_field_banner.png

You can add additional languages for the Preference Center and select from the Advanced Languages section to cover additional language HTML code options that may be used on your website. For more information on how OneTrust language detection can work on your website, see the Enable Language Detection on Scripts section in Publishing and Implementing Cookie Consent Scripts.

Note

Only out-of-the-box OneTrust Preference Center text is automatically translated for applicable languages. Any custom text changes made to a template are not automatically translated to other languages. For these changes to translate, you must provide your own translations in the template.
