Adding Data Points to a Targeted Data Discovery Results Summary

You can manually add additional data points to a Targeted Data Discovery (TDD) results summary. This feature allows users to add one or more data points that are hosted offline either in physical form or by systems that don’t support automated discovery before sharing results with a data subject.

Note

You must first create a data group before manually adding data points. This can can be done manually or through the API call. For more information, see Viewing a Results Summary.

To add data points

  1. On the Privacy Rights Automation menu, select Requests. The Requests screen appears.

  2. Click on the name of a request. The Data Subject Request Details screen appears.

  3. Click the Results Summary button. The Results Summary screen appears.

  4. Go to either the Structured Data tab or Unstructured Data tab.

  5. Click the Add Data Points button. The Add Data Points modal appears.

  6. Complete the fields to add data points to the TDD results summary for the request. For more info, see Add Data Points Modal.

    Note

    Click the Add icon button to add additional data points.

  7. Click the Save button. Manually added data points will display User Added in the System column.

Field

Description

Field Name

Enter a field name that will describe the data point.

Field Value

Enter the value of the field name.

Report Groups

Select between the available groups in the results summary to assign the data point.
